World Affairs Councils of America

The World Affairs Council of Charleston is a member of the World Affairs Councils of America.

The World Affairs Councils of America (WACA) is an association of 90 independent organizations in 39 states and the District of Columbia that work to engage and educate Americans on international affairs and foreign policy. All member organizations are non-profit, non-partisan, and maintain an open membership policy - everyone is welcome to join!

WACC actively participates in two WACA Flagship programs: Travel the World and Great Decisions. In addition, WACC members have access to numerous other WACA activities.

2013 Winter Dues

The dues for the 2013 winter season of three meetings have been established at $60 for an individual or $90 for couples (two persons living at the same address). You can use the online membership form to register. When complete, click "View and Print Completed Form" to print your information to mail along with your check. You may also use PayPal to make payment.

About Us

The World Affairs Council of Charleston was founded in the early 1980s and operated for 20 years under the name Foreign Affairs Forum.

A reception precedes the speaker's presentation and a lively interchange between speaker and audience takes place afterward. The World Affairs Council of Charleston is a non-partisan, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.

Our meetings take place at The Citadel Alumni Center (officially known as The John Monroe J. Holliday Alumni Center) located at 69 Hagood Ave. across from Johnson Hagood Stadium, Charleston, SC
