Evening Speaker Series

World Affairs Council of Charleston hosts six expert speaker events each year. These evening events feature distinguished presenters from the U.S. government, nongovernmental organizations, the military, academia, think tanks, and the business community.

Following a meet-and-greet reception with free food and drinks at 5:15 PM, the speaker offers a thought-provoking presentation on an international topic at 6:00 PM, followed by a lively Q&A. The meeting concludes at 7:00 PM.

Most events are held on The Citadel campus, with ample parking nearby. A new partnership with the Charleston Library Society has enabled us to host additional events in their historic venue in downtown Charleston.

Entry is free for members. Guests are welcome to come to one meeting before joining. The guest fee of $30 is payable at the event or with advance registration online, and may be credited to the membership dues upon joining.
